Nobody talks about this part of operations.
Six months into The Operator Track and one of the biggest things I am learning has nothing to do with systems or tools.
It is emotional intelligence.
Before you manage a team, a client or a business you have to manage yourself first.
→ Someone is being aggressive in a meeting
→ Three things broke before lunch
→ A client is unhappy and it is not even your faultHow you respond in those moments says everything about your ability to lead.
Results and tasks matter. Of course they do.
But the person running operations has to stay grounded when everything around them is not. That is not a soft skill. That is the job.
Self regulation is not something you either have or you do not. It is something you build. Deliberately. Every single day.
Still learning. Still growing. But this one hit different. 😄
