Every time I see a pending case I feel this itch to close it right away.
I used to think it was just me not wanting unfinished work on my plate.
But ten years in customer support taught me it was never about the task.
There is a person behind every pending case. Someone already juggling their own life, their own pressures, their own day. And they stopped everything to reach out because they needed someone to actually come through for them.
That is what I think about every time I open a case.
When you are just starting out you get things done and check them off the list. That is where everyone starts. But when you put your heart into this work long enough you stop seeing tasks and start seeing people.
A closed case is not just a number. It is someone’s relief. It is a person who reached out hoping someone would care enough to show up and you were that person for them today.
Do not just close the case.
Feel who is waiting behind it. That is where the real work is. 💛
